A festive treat for families is set to hit the stage in Worcester this Christmas.

From Saturday 14 to Tuesday, December 24, the Worcester Repertory Company will present a special adaptation of Hansel and Gretel at the Swan Theatre and Swan Studio.

The production, from the same team behind Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs, offers the pantomime experience to children aged three to six.

In the story, Hansel and Gretel get lost in an enchanted village until they meet what appears to be a sweet old lady who lives in a cottage made of gingerbread and chcolate.

The play invites young audiences to help the titular characters escape from the cottage.

Tickets are priced from £5 to £6, with a family ticket available for £20.
