Eliza Carthy to tour with band The Restitution
Folk singer Eliza Carthy is set to tour.
The singer, who describes herself as a 'modern English musician,' will perform with her band The Restitution.
The tour coincides with the re-release of her album Through That Sound (My Secret Was Made Known), which she co-wrote with producer Ben Seal.
Ms Carthy has been a prominent figure in the folk scene for 30 years, earning an MBE and two Mercury Prize nominations.
Folk performers to take centre stage at Malvern venue
An upcoming event will see folk performers take centre stage.
Held in The Fold's Cart House, 'Folk at the Fold' promises varied, lively evenings.
The event, known for its welcoming spirit, invites both performers and non-performers to enjoy the performances.
It will take place on the fourth Saturday of each month from 8pm to 10.30pm, with an entrance fee of £2.50.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own drinks.
National Tae Kwon-Do Championships held in Telford
Tae Kwon-Do competitors from across the UK converged in the city for an exciting tournament.
The action took place in the International Centre, where the TAGB (Traditional Aikido and Karate Board) National Championships showcased a variety of events.
These included sparring, patterns, and team competitions.
Competitors were awarded medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in individual sparring.
The tournament also featured black belt-only destruction events.
The TAGB National Coach presented special awards for various achievements.
