A TOWN'S Christmas market has been cancelled less than 24 hours before it was set to begin.
Evesham's Artisan Christmas Fayre has been cancelled on advice from the town council and incoming weather alerts due to Storm Bert.
The fayre was set to take over Evesham this weekend (November 23/24) following the town's Christmas Light Switch on event today (November 22).
The switching on of Evesham's Christmas lights will still be going ahead.
The Christmas Fair at All Saints Church has also been cancelled.
A spokesperson for All Saints Church said: "We have been informed that the Artisan Christmas Market in Evesham has been cancelled on the advice of the council due to the adverse weather forecast.
"With this in mind we have taken the decision to cancel our Christmas Fair.
"We will look to organised something in the new year to lift peoples spirits after the festivities."
