Residents of Wychavon district can win cash prizes for recycling correctly.
The council has teamed up with Litter Lotto at Home to launch a new app that rewards people for putting the right item in the right bin.
The app uses AI technology to help residents dispose of their waste correctly.

To participate, residents need to download the free Litter Lotto app, register, and use their phone's camera to scan the item they want to dispose of.
The app will then inform them which bin it belongs in.
Each correctly recycled item counts as an entry into a monthly prize draw for Wychavon residents, with a £250 cash prize up for grabs.
Residents also have a chance to win a national prize draw with a £1,000 reward.
The initiative comes in response to increasing levels of recycling contamination, with items like nappies, food waste, electric items, and plastic film being incorrectly placed in the green recycling bin.
Tim Lewis, Wychavon’s head of client services, said: "With Litter Lotto at Home it is now easier than ever to get your recycling right.
"By using the app, not only will you be sure you are putting the right item in the right bin, but you also get the chance to win cash prizes as a reward for doing the right thing."
