RESIDENTS may be left with a full black bin for an extra day or two as a result of the cold weather.
Worcester City Council has warned people that bin collections may be delayed this week due to the snow that fell on Tuesday (November 19) and the expected icy conditions throughout the rest of the week.
A spokesperson for the council said: "Our team are assessing road safety, to protect both the staff on our bin lorries and other road users, before heading out on their usual rounds.
"If your bin isn't collected at the usual time, please leave it out and we will catch up throughout the week and may work Saturday if required."
Council workers will also be on the streets to clear ice and snow that may pose a danger to walkers.
