A HISTORIC shopfront and home to a soon-to-close furniture shop is on the market in Droitwich.

The current home of David Neville Furnishings, 1-3 Hanbury Street, has been listed on Zoopla for £395,000.

Since 1968, the building has been better known as the home of the furniture shop which announced it would be closing this year.

Co-owners Mike Apps and Paul Mason said: "After 56 years of trading, the directors of David Neville Furnishings have decided to retire.

"This unfortunately means that the store in Droitwich will be closing.

"The store will remain open until all customers' orders are delivered and showroom stock has been sold.

"We would like to thank all our customers over the many years for their loyal support."

The owners are also running a closing down sale in order to clear stock by the end of the year.

A spokesperson for estate agents GJS Dillon said: "This prominently located two-storey retail property offers a versatile and spacious layout, ideal for a variety of commercial uses.

"The ground floor features expansive open-plan retail space, perfect for a showroom or display area, seamlessly integrated with the warehouse section at the rear."

"One the first floor, the property boasts an additional open-plan retail accommodation, complemented by smaller, cellular rooms which can be used for offices, private consultations or more focused retail sections.

"This combination of large, adaptable spaces and smaller partitioned areas makes the first floor highly versatile, suitable for businesses needing both showroom and administrative areas."

The property has total square footage of 6,520 split over the two levels.

David Neville Furnishings remains open at the moment.
