A POPULAR bakery has opened a new shop in Worcester creating 12 new jobs.
Greggs is now open at Unit 6B, Shrub Hill Retail Park, George Street, Worcester.
The popular bakery already has a shop in the city's High Street, at Blackpole Retail Park and at Berkeley Way.
Shop manager Blaze Clarke said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop. We’ve got an amazing range of iconic savouries, Fairtrade hot drinks, hot food and healthier choices available for takeaway, sit-in or Click + Collect.”
The shop will stock freshly prepared Greggs favourites, such as the on-the-go-retailer’s popular sausage roll, steak bake and vegan alternatives.
They will also sell a range of over ice drinks including Cloudy Lemonade and Iced Mocha, which are only available in limited shops across the UK.
Customers can also take advantage of Greggs’ deals throughout the day, including its breakfast combinations, offering a breakfast roll or baguette alongside a Fairtrade orange juice or hot drink - served until 11am every day.
A spokesperson said: "With the festive season upon us, Greggs has launched its new Christmas menu including the popular festive bake, vegan festive bake with a new and improved recipe, Christmas lunch baguette and festive flatbread.

"To give customers a seasonal pickup throughout the colder months, Greggs has also announced a host of new hot drinks including gingerbread latte (also available over ice) and gingerbread flat white, alongside a mint mocha and mint hot chocolate."
The opening hours of the Worcester shop are between Monday and Saturday, between 6am and 7pm and on Sunday between 7am and 5pm.
Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, said: “Our new shop in Worcester has brought 12 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.”
The company was founded in 1939 by John Gregg, then delivering fresh eggs and yeast, by pushbike, to the families of Newcastle.
