Residents of a Worcester care home enjoyed a special visit to a primary school.

The Belmont care home residents were invited to North Worcester Primary Academy on Thursday, October 17.

They were given the chance to visit the school's new immersive room, which is designed to provide visual and sensory stimulation for people with dementia.

The room uses interactive projections to create captivating images on the walls, floor, and ceiling.

The care home's lifestyle coordinators, Mark Owen and Tanya Davies, accompanied the residents and said it was an "enriching and joyful experience for all involved".

Ms Davies said: "The residents had a wonderful time.

"It was so special to see them enjoying the activity freely, particularly on our reminiscence floor, where the visual stimulation really helped to spark memories."

Scott Holdaway, outdoor learning lead and pastoral support at the school, said: "By offering our immersive room to the Belmont residents, we hope to provide a stimulating and engaging experience for them."
