A FAMOUS journalist and personality who once applied to work at the Worcester News is entering the jungle.
Jane Moore has been announced as part of the star-studded line-up heading to Australia for season 24 of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.
Ms Moore was born in Oxford but moved to Droitwich at the age of eight.
She was head girl at Bishop Perowne High School before moving to Worcester Grammar School for Girls.
Speaking to the Worcester News in 1999, she said: "I always wanted to be a journalist as long as I can remember, I was always writing things at school, it was just something that I liked.
"I don't know where it came from, no one else in my family is remotely involved in newspapers and both my parents were school teachers."

"There weren't that many top-level women reporters back then and so I suppose there weren't many role models."
Ms Moore had applied for work experience Worcester Evening News at the very dawn of her career, but ended up working for sister paper, the Bromsgrove Messenger.
She spent the next 20 years working at the Solihull News, Birmingham Post, Birmingham Mail and several national dailies, but she has become most well-known for her role as a regular panellist on ITV programme Loose Women, where she appeared between 1999 and 2002, before returning to the table in 2013 and remaining ever since.
In her announcement video with ITV, Ms Moore spoke about her excitement to head into the jungle and how she felt about the infamous Bushtucker Trials.
She said: "I like to think of myself as a gutsy person but that remains to be seen.
"I'm sure a lot of people think that before they face those trials and then courage goes out the window."
Ms Moore will be heading down under with nine other celebrities including TV personality Colleen Rooney, Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse and former boxing champion Barry McGuigan.
