A CELEBRITY will be visiting a Worcestershire town for the first time.

Joe Thomas, better known as Simon Cooper from The Inbetweeners, will be visiting Evesham next year to talk about the show as well as his career afterwards.

"An Evening with The Inbetweeners' Joe Thomas" has been organised by Evesham Live and will take place in the town Hall on May 4.

Its been 17 years since audiences were first introduced to hapless sixth-formers Will McKenzie, Neil Sutherland, Jay Cartright and Simon Cooper.

The Inbetweeners became one of the nation's best loved shows with its endlessly quotable lines and outrageous laugh-per-second banter, the sitcom attracted record-breaking viewing figures and inspired two incredibly successful feature films.

Keith Norledge, Evesham Live’s programmer, said: ‘We’ve listened to our patrons and we’re trying to expand our programme of events and are pleased to have secured Joe for what we expect to be a great night.

"I don't believe Joe has been to Evesham before but he is very keen to visit this neck of the woods because most places he visits are in larger towns and cities so he is excited to go into the sticks.

"We're used to dealing with comedians and bands but this will be our first 'evening with' but we are looking at a few other big names.

"Ticket sales have been going well and hopefully this will attract a slightly different demographic to the town hall than normal.

"This is just one of a variety of shows we’re lining up for 2025 and we hope the people of Evesham will come out and support us."

The event will also be touching on Mr Thomas' other work, including Fresh Meat, White Gold and TaskMaster.

Only 200 seats are available and tickets cost £20 per person.

Mr Thomas is happy to stay around for a short while after the show, meet fans and take pictures.

This event has a recommended age of 14 as it contains very strong language and sexual references used throughout.
