A seven-piece band of horn players will perform in Worcester.
TRYPL, first formed by three horn players before more than doubling in size, will play at The Marrs Bar in Pierpoint Street on Thursday, January 9.
The band has a love of Latin-jazz and is made up of top musicians.
The founding members are trombonist Trevor Mires (Jamiroquai, Incognito, David Sunburn, Alicia Keys), trumpeter Ryan Quigley (Quincy Jones, Aretha Franklin, George Michael), and saxophonist Paul Booth (Incognito, Jamiroquai, Louis Cole, Van Morrison).
The band name is made up of the trio's names.
They have worked on numerous recordings and performances together.
People might recognise Booth and Quigley from playing in the earlier's band HOOP in November 2023.
Reviewing the band's eponymous 2020 album, one reviewer said: “There is much joy and energy in these effervescent and vivacious performances, but this is not just ‘party’ music, there is a high level of musical sophistication too.”
Tickets cost £15 and are available from ents24.com.
