A Droitwich middle school has celebrated its Good Citizen Award ceremony.
Westacre Middle School welcomed Worcestershire County Councillor Richard Morris to the event, which aims to encourage children to develop and demonstrate positive behaviours and values within their community.
The initiative is designed to cultivate responsible, engaged, and compassionate young citizens through a series of progressive challenges.
Assistant headteacher Bryony Page said: "The children learn skills that will support them in becoming active members of society.
"They complete a series of chores at home for example, learn first aid and how to confidently use public transport along with lots of other skills."
Headteacher Donna Evans said she was delighted by the support community organisations have given to the award, like the nearby policing team who have come into the school to talk about safety and responsibility in the community.
She said: "It was fantastic to have councillor Morris here today to help celebrate the achievements of our pupils."
