Sixth form students from Droitwich Spa High School paid their respects to the town's fallen servicemen and women.
On Friday (November 8) the students gathered at the town's war memorial to honour the 168 names inscribed there, honouring people who gave their lives in the First World War, Second World War, and the Falklands War.
In a moving ceremony, the students each lit a candle and read aloud the names on the memorial.
The act was a gesture of gratitude to the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, with each candle symbolising a life lost.
There were as many students present as names on the memorial.
Holly Tallis, who organised the event, said: "It’s a powerful moment to see our students, standing where those they honour once stood, and to reflect on the peace we hope they’ll inherit because of those who came before them."
The school’s students also attended the town's Remembrance Sunday service to pay their respects.
This included three students in their cadet uniforms, who stood alongside head teacher Jon Brook, representing the school’s active involvement in remembering and honouring the sacrifices of the past.
