Worcestershire businesses can access up to £100,000 in grant funding for energy-saving projects.
The Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS), a pilot programme by Worcestershire County Council's Net Zero Worcestershire team, offers free energy assessments and 50 per cent match-funded grants for businesses looking to cut carbon and energy costs.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Worcestershire and the Marches (Herefordshire, Shropshire, and Telford & Wrekin) are eligible for these grants, ranging from £1,000 to £100,000.
Councillor Emma Stokes, cabinet member with responsibility for the environment at the council, said: "Worcestershire’s businesses are at the heart of our local economy, and the Business Energy Advice Service is a fantastic initiative to help them reduce energy costs and improve sustainability.
"With the energy landscape constantly evolving, it’s more important than ever for businesses to act now.
"I encourage every eligible business to take advantage of the grants and expert advice on offer through this service."
The energy assessments will provide businesses with tailored advice on practical, cost-saving measures, including recommendations for upgrading to energy-efficient equipment, implementing smart technology, and refining internal processes to lower energy bills.
