WARNINGS of road closures for the city's Remembrance Sunday parades need to be made earlier claims one resident.
Colin Randle, of Red Hill, Worcester, first noticed signs warning of road closures in the city centre on Thursday (November 7).
Mr Randle said: "I've noticed some signs have been installed in Worcester city centre warning that College Street and Deansway will be closed on Sunday (November 10) for the remembrance parade.
"I was on College Street on Monday (November 4) morning and the signs were nowhere to be seen.
"I have no issues with the roads being closed for such an occasion and I wholeheartedly support the parade, but why have these road signs appeared less than a week before the road is due to be closed?
"Less than a week's notice has been given for a major road through Worcester and there are absolutely no other signs anywhere else in Worcester warning drivers of the road closure so the only time they'll be aware of the road closure is when they come across it."

Multiple roads will be closed in the centre Worcester on Sunday, including College Street, Deansway, High Street, Friar Street, New Street and others.
These roads are expected to be closed from 8am to 12.30pm
Traffic wishing to cross the river towards St John's will be diverted along City Walls Road, Foregate Street, Castle Street and Croft Road towards Worcester Bridge.
The full list of road closures can be found on the city council's website.
Mr Randle added: "When some major roads around the city centre area were closed earlier in the year for other events, there were a number of signs dotted around Worcester, advertising the closures with more than a week's notice.
"Why hasn't the same happened for the remembrance parade?
"This does not appear to be great traffic management."
A Worcester City Council spokesperson said: "We apologise for the late warning.
"City centre closures will be the same as previous year for the poignant event, which happens annually.
"The road closures are required to keep all those watching and taking part in the procession safe from traffic."
