A TEENAGER has been sent to a young offender's institute after being found guilty of a more than two dozen offences.
The 15-year-old, who legally cannot be named due to his age, was convicted at Worcester Magistrates Court yesterday (November 6).
The boy, from Worcester, was found guilty of 29 counts of twelve crimes including:
- Five counts of taking a car without the owner’s consent.
- Five counts of theft of the car keys from a dwelling.
- Five counts of taking a mobility scooter without the owner’s consent from a dwelling.
- Three counts of trespassing a premises with intent to steal.
- Three counts of theft of a mobility scooter.
- Two counts of attempting to steal a motor vehicle.
- Driving a vehicle without a licence or insurance
- One count of theft of bike from a dwelling.
- One count of theft from a dwelling.
- One count of taking of a motorbike without the owner’s consent.
- One count of attempting to steal a mobility scooter.
- One count of theft from a shop.
He initially received a youth rehabilitation order on Wednesday, October 23.
However, upon committing further offences on Thursday, October 31, he was resentenced for the offences and will spend 20-months at a young offenders' institute.
