The "biggest Christmas event in the West Midlands" is set to offer a magical escape for bereaved children.

Winter Glow has partnered with Winston's Wish, the UK's first children and young people's bereavement charity, to support grieving young people and their families.

The charity will take over the event’s illuminated light trail at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern for the first-ever Winston's Winter Glow Wander on Sunday, December 1.

The event will offer exclusive access to the festive light trail for Winston's Wish service users and supporters.

The aim is to create lifelong memories for visitors at a time of year that can be difficult for those who have lost a loved one.

The light trail, which will take attendees on a mystical adventure to find the Light Guardians and restore joy to the Winter Village folk, has been created by artists, lighting designers, and craftspeople from the area.

Jenna Marks, director of the trail, said: "We are thrilled to partner with Winston’s Wish and contribute to their invaluable work.

"We’re on a mission to spread Christmas spirit across the three counties, so it’s a privilege to be able to provide a slice of magical escape to young people who are facing huge challenges in their day-to-day lives."

Tickets for the event are available at a discounted rate, with all proceeds going directly to the charity to fund their support services for young people.

The charity offers a range of support for children and young people, including online content, a podcast series, on-demand live chat, and a freephone service.

Nicole Gerrard, campaigns and events manager at the charity, said: "This event with Winter Glow will not only bring joy and comfort to bereaved children and young people but also help to raise awareness of our vital work and the support we offer."
