TRAFFIC lights plaguing road users for near two years have now become four-way but will soon be removed.
The 'chaos' on the A44 will soon be over according to Severn Trent as the roadworks have reached Chadbury Farm Shop roundabout.
The lights reached the roundabout on Friday (November 1) and have become four-way for the first time leading to heavy delays for commuters and residents.
Once past Chadbury Farm Shop Severn Trent will move out of the road and onto the footpath meaning no more traffic lights.
The work started in 2023 and cost Severn Trent £2.2 million to replace 7.3km of aging water pipes.
Paul Hughes, Severn Trent community communications officer, said: “We are investing £2.2million to replace 7.3km of water pipes between Fladbury to Greenhill.
"These essential upgrades are replacing aging water pipes which will ensure the local community has a resilient and reliable water supply that is ready to meet the demands from climate change and a growing population.
"We understand that roadworks are an inconvenience, especially if they are going ahead for a long period of time, and we want to thank everyone for their patience as we know this is a busy, well-used road.”
