TRIBUTES have been paid after the body of a man was found on the M5 near Worcester.
Police closed all lanes between junction 8 for Strensham and junction 9 for Tewkesbury on the M5 for around 12 hours on Saturday (November 2) after receiving reports a body had been found.
It is believed a man in his 30s fell from an overbridge near junction 9 onto the carriageway below, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death has been deemed non-suspicious.

Worcester News readers who were impacted by the motorway closure took to Facebook to pay their respects to the man who died.
Lynda Pearce, who was returning to Worcester from Gloucester at the time, said: "I was sat in the queue on M5, it took almost 3 hours to get from Junction 11 to Junction 9. But do you know what, that doesn't matter.
"What matters is some poor soul has lost their life and the family and friends won't get to spend time with them again. My heart goes out to them.
"Rest in peace young man."
Kelly Hitchins added: "It was closed when we came that way in the morning and it was reported as concerns for a person's safety.
"I’m saddened to read this is how it’s ended, my love and thoughts go out to all who knew and loved the young man."
After receiving the call at around 6.05am, Gloucestershire Police closed all lanes between junctions 8 and 9 due to 'concern over someone's welfare' while officers carried out their investigation.
At around 2.25pm, the police confirmed a body had been found.
The M5 southbound was re-opened around 90 minutes later, but the northbound carriageway wasn't re-opened until shortly after 7pm.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses who may have information or dashcam footage to come forward.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called shortly after 6.05am with a report that a body had been found on the northbound carriageway near to junction 9 for Tewkesbury.
"It is believed that a man in his 30s fell from an overbridge onto the carriageway below.
"He was pronounced dead at the scene and his death is deemed to be non-suspicious.
"The man's next of kin are aware and being supported by specially trained officers.
"Officers are asking anyone who was travelling along the M5 at around 6am and has any information or footage they feel is relevant to make contact."
