Mr Allen said: "I'm really proud to have been named the resident artist for the Spetchley Estate and Gardens.

"To follow in the footsteps of some great local artists is a real honour, and we have plans for some great events in 2025.

"One of which is a huge art show involving upwards of 40 artists and local groups.

"We are also looking at renovating a building in the gardens where people can come and watch the painting process and view a small bespoke portfolio of work in a gallery."

He added: "I firmly believe there is a direct link between the effect people experience in a beautiful garden in full bloom, and with a piece of vibrant colourful artwork that catches your eye."

The current artist-in-residence, Ms Currie said: "These beautiful gardens have been a constant source of inspiration and focus for my oil paintings throughout the seasons."
