LANDLORDS of a popular countryside pub said it is time to move on as it has been listed for sale.
The Fox & Hounds pub in Lulsley, near Worcester, is on the market for £495,000 through hospitality property agents Sidney Phillips.
The Fox & Hounds' co-owner, Thomas Clarke, described the venue - which remains open as usual - as a "destination pub".
Mr Clarke said: "It's a destination pub and it's a popular one - a lot of the local community comes here.
"We'll miss it, but we have been here for seven years now and my parents are looking towards retirement so it felt like the right time to move on.
"It's definitely a viable business, and I think whoever does take it on could do well.
"If they have extra backing, they could do really well."
The sale includes the entire freehold of the site, which is in 1.6 acres of land and features a main bar and lounge, restaurant, conservatory restaurant space, an expansive beer garden and a large car parking area equipped for at least 50 vehicles.
Sidney Phillips' managing director, Robin Mence, said: "The Fox & Hounds is a renowned pub set in a charming, picturesque village.
"With expansive grounds and a strong reputation, this is an exceptional opportunity to acquire a thriving free house, fully equipped and ready for immediate operation."
The Fox & Hounds' traditional bar and lounge area has part-wood panelled walls, a feature fireplace and seating for approximately 20 people.
The main restaurant, which has an adjoining conservatory dining room, offers views across the site's expansive garden and the wider countryside. Both rooms feature seating for a combined 100 diners.

The Fox and Hounds ceased using its kitchen in June 2024, and hosts regular events including a charity pub quiz, live music nights and pop-up food events where street food vendors serve on-site.
The upper floor of the main building has most recently been used as staff accommodation and features an open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge area with access to a roof garden.
The space includes one single bedroom and one larger master bedroom.
