THREE teenage girls have been caught shoplifting in the city centre.
The trio were apprehended by police and security staff in Asda after going on a shoplifting spree through Worcester.
One security guard at another shop in the city centre said they had stolen from at least two other shops totalling more than £70 on Wednesday (October 30).
Due to the ages of the offenders, the shops involved did not want to pursue them for a criminal conviction so police gave suitable words and advice to the young women.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Asda on Silver Street in Worcester by security staff, through a radio system used in the city centre, following a report of shoplifting.
"Due to the ages of those involved, none of the shops wished to pursue any further police action.
"Suitable words of advice were given to all those involved."
