A PUNK ROCK band is bidding to return to the UK's album charts after announcing their third album.
Four-piece band Gypsy Pistoleros from Worcester released their newest single Church Of The Pistoleros on Friday (October 25) ahead of releasing their new album, Welcome To The Church Of The Pistoleros, which is scheduled to arrive on May 2, 2025.
Gypsy Lee Pistolero, the band's lead singer, said: "The reaction to the single has been fantastic so far.
"We posted the music video to YouTube and after five days we have racked up over 11,000 views - that's a good indicator of how well it's going."
The band's second album, Duende A Go Go Loco reached the top 70 of the UK's album charts in November 2020 - but the band is looking to push on in 2025.
Mr Pistolero said: "We want to reach the top 30 for this one, definitely - that will make a noise.
"We want to go to the next level and so we have come up with something a bit different.
"Let's just hope it sells ridiculously."
Gypsy Pistoleros are scheduled to appear at Rebellion Festival in Blackpool next August, a major date in the UK's punk rock calendar, however, a homecoming is on the cards for the album's release.
Mr Pistolero said: "We're booked to play at the Marrs Bar in Worcester on May 2, when the album releases.
"It's nice because I believe our first show was there when we formed in 2005.
"There's such a fantastic music scene in Worcester, but incredibly, we're the only ones from Worcester to make the charts since Edward Elgar."
The band toured with names such as The Ramones, Motorhead and Papa Roach prior to 2011, and re-formed in 2020 after a hiatus.
Mr Pistolero said: "We can't be placed into a certain genre.
"It's good to be that sort of band where you don't have to create a certain sound - we just do whatever the song needs."
Welcome To The Church Of The Pistoleros is available for pre-order ahead of release in May, while the UK album chart is scheduled to be revealed on May 9.
