A tyre wholesaler has promoted two "talented" young professionals.

ETB Wholesale, which has thousands of tyres at its Blackpole Trading Estate headquarters, has promoted George Franks to business development manager, while Lynsey Newman will take up his previous role as telesales executive.

The 28-year-old will be responsible for bringing in new business and maintaining relationships with current customers.

He was previously a customer service advisor at Skoda before joining the business as a telesales executive.

Mr Franks said: "I'm extremely excited to get to work in my new position.

"I'll be looking to bring in new business and maintain the many long-term relationships we have with existing customers.

"ETB Wholesale is a great place to be right now and everything is working so well because of the team we have in place.

"We're all pulling in the same direction and there's a real sense of togetherness across the business."

He will be replaced as telesales executive by 25-year-old Miss Newman, who has previously worked as a sales advisor and van controller.

She said: "It's been a positive beginning for me.

"Not only is it a welcoming environment to work in, but we're empowered to make a difference and share ideas and opinions with our bosses.

"There's no sense of hierarchy here and we're encouraged to affect change in our own way, which is really refreshing."

Sales director Paul Carter said: "George deserves his promotion after impressing us all in his telesales position.

"Lyndsey has really impressed us since arriving too and has made a great first impression.

"Both are proactive and keen to make a positive difference, which is something we encourage."

The company is one of the biggest regional tyre wholesalers in the UK, dispatching thousands of tyres to hundreds of garages across the region and beyond, from as far north as Nottingham and as far south as Land’s End.
