MORE than 80 scarecrows have descended on a Worcestershire village for Halloween.
The Fernhill Heath Scarecrow Trail has returned for another year, with villagers' creations being on display.
Families can head to Fernhill Heath and explore the numerous characters depicted in straw form for free.
The event has been running in the village since 2017 and has become immensely popular with locals and visitors alike.
Some of the scarecrows even hold significant meanings, such as the soldier outside the Fernhill Heath War Memorial Club on Droitwich Road.
Meg Farmer, of North Claines Parish Council, said: "It's just fantastic having them back.
"We've had people coming from Stourport and Gloucester on the first day that have spoken to me.
"It's a great community event."
A map showing the trail's route across the village is available at the Costcutter on Droitwich Road and Dilmore Store in Dilmore Avenue.
A pop-up café has also opened in Westfield Road for thirsty trail followers to stop and grab a drink or a snack.
The event is one of the biggest in the village's calendar and brings thousands of people in.
Cllr Farmer added: "Last year we had 700 maps printed and they all sold but, of course, you only need one map per family.
"It brings in a few thousand people at least.
The Scarecrow trail will run from October 27 to November 3.
