A MAN who bought a penguin sculpture during a charity auction has said he did it in memory of his daughter.
Wayne Southall purchased 'Waddle I Do Without You' during the Waddle of Worcester charity auction for St Richard's Hospice in memory of his daughter, Holly Southall, who died suddenly in July at the age of 10.
Mr Southall said: "It's beautiful isn't it.
"When the name came up, 'Waddle I Do Without You' I thought, what would I do without you? It just made sense.
"It has everything, including the colours that Holly loved.
"We're planning to airbrush her name above the top of the heart design (on the penguin sculpture), and use this rather than a headstone."
Mr Southall attended with his sister Hayley Green as part of Digaway & Clearaway, and the pair purchased two penguins on the night.
Alongside 'Waddle I Do Without You' which had the night's highest winning bid of £21,000, they also bought 'Woolly Waddler' for £8,000.
