Staff and students have raised £500 for a children and young people's mental health charity with a sponsored five-kilometre walk.

The fundraisers, from Access Educational Provision, took on the challenge on Wednesday, October 9 at Sixways Stadium in Worcester.

The initiative was led by staff members, who encouraged students to take part in both the fundraising and the physical challenge.

Thanks to donations from parents, friends, and the community, the fundraisers achieved their goal.

Access Educational Provision's pastoral lead, Danielle Bedford, said: "It was a great day, and it was amazing to see the students contribute to such an important cause.

"Supporting YoungMinds is particularly meaningful for us, as it highlights the importance of mental health for all our young children, something we are passionate about at Access Educational Provision."

The charity provides support, resources, and advocacy for young people and their families dealing with mental health issues.

The money raised by the team will help YoungMinds continue their work in providing mental health services, such as early help hubs.
