A comedy club is coming to Worcester with a "stellar lineup" of comedians.

Howlers Comedy Club, based in Cheltenham, will be hosting its first show at The Marr's Bar on Thursday, November 7.

The club, which has been running since 2005, will then begin monthly shows at the venue from February.

Promoter Paul Creed said: "We are super excited to be bringing Howlers to The Marr's Bar.

"It's a perfect room for comedy and we can totally see why Russell Howard once described it as his favourite venue."

Howlers has a reputation for booking acts who have gone on to become household names.

Comedians who have performed at the club previously include Jon Richardson, Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Sarah Pascoe.

Mr Creed added: "Our format is different to most comedy clubs in that we strive to book multiple headline quality acts in our line-ups."

The club's first show at the venue has a triple headliner bill featuring Rob Deering, Garrett Millerick and Lyndsey Santoro, off the back of her recent Live at the Apollo appearance.

The MC for the night is Cerys Nelmes, who is considered one of the most sought-after comperes on the UK circuit.
