A PATIENT has died while waiting to be seen at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
They had been in the A&E waiting room on Monday when they became critically ill.
A spokesperson for Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust said yesterday: "Our Emergency Department team were alerted yesterday to come to the aid of a patient whose condition suddenly deteriorated, shortly after they arrived in our ED waiting room.
"The patient was immediately taken to a clinical area for treatment but sadly, despite the best efforts of our staff, they later died.
"Our condolences go to the patient's family."
