A SMALL convenience store has closed while it undergoes a "total transformation".
Claines Co-op, on Ombersley Road, will be closed for over a month while it embarks on a major makeover.
The store, often referred to as The Little Co-op to distinguish it from the larger one on the same road, will have its 1,250 sq ft given a new look.

It will see the installation of self-service tills to "increase speed and ease".
There is also a focus on improving its existing parcel collection services through Deliveroo and DPD and its online home delivery of groceries – where orders are picked fresh in the local store and then delivered to your home.
The new-look store will serve an enhanced range of fresh, chilled and frozen produce, along with Co-op’s focus on meal ideas and everyday essentials like bakery and dairy products.
Calvin Filipi, Co-op Store Manager, said: “The whole team is delighted to have the opportunity to invest in our Claines store – it is brilliant news for the store and the community.
"It will be totally transformed with a fresh new look, making it fit for the future.
"We are really looking forward to welcoming our members and customers back into their Co-op in December.
"It is always our aim to operate at the heart of local life and do right by our members and customers, and we will soon have a great-looking store with the range, choice and added services to better serve and support our community, conveniently.”
The business, which supports 15 local jobs, will relaunch on Friday, December 6.
Last year, rumours swirled on social media that Claines 'little' Co-op would be closing.
A Co-op spokesperson dismissed these and confirmed that the branch would stay open and committed to the local community.
The larger, nearly 6,000 sq ft Co-op store, located at 46 Ombersley Road, relaunched in July this year after also undergoing a major refurbishment programme.
