FIREFIGHTERS including a boat crew were called to a river rescue in Worcester - but the person was later found safe and well at home.
Three fire crews were called to a river rescue at Hylton Road in St John's, Worcester but the person was later found at home.
Two crews from Worcester Fire Station, including the water first responder, and one from Malvern Fire Station – plus the boat crews from Worcester and Evesham, the incident support vehicle and drone from Ledbury and the Urban Search and Rescue Dog were called to a rescue from water in Hylton Road, Worcester at 4.50am on Sunday.
A spokesperson for the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "The fire service was not required as the suspected casualty was found safe and well at home.
"There were no casualties. Police and ambulance also attended. The incident was marked as pending closure at 5.43am."
