POLICE disguised themselves to tackle shoplifting in a Worcestershire convenience store.
Plain-clothed Pershore SNT officers were in the Co-op on Racecourse Road in a bid to tackle shoplifting.
Over the past year, there have been 91 thefts at the small convenience store.
A spokesperson for Pershore SNT said: " Over the past year, there have been 91 thefts from CO-OP, and PC Stewart worked in collaboration with the local Safer Neighbourhood Officer and Rural Problem-Solving Officer in bringing this operation together.
"The Co-op manager and staff greatly appreciated the presence of plain-clothed officers, who PC Stewart advised to make changes to the store layout and employ security staff to help police the problem."
