SMILES were plenty at this year's annual pumpkin patch at a farm park near Worcester.

Top Barn Farm Park's annual pumpkin patch drew hundreds from across Worcestershire this year as the park put on more than ever before.

Along with pumpkin picking visitors could enjoy seeing the animals, a funfair, tractor rides, pony rides and much more.

The patch, full of hundreds of multi-coloured pumpkins, was in the shape of a clownfish when looking from above.

The attraction brought back many regulars but also newcomers who had heard about the unique activities this weekend (October 19).

Luke Billington who had come with partner Lucy Bowen and son Oscar said: "We have been here for pretty much an hour and its been quite busy.

"We've been here pumpkin picking before but this is the first time we have had a little one.

"It's been alright, it's pretty much the same as last year but I think they have added some extra rides.

"But overall it's nice because Oscar can walk around and see all the animals as well."

The attraction was free to enter which was a draw in itself according to visitors.

Marc Evans-Lochlin said: "We are here for pumpkins obviously.

"We live in Droitwich and we have never been here before, my wife looked it up and we thought we would give it a go.

"The pumpkins are all different sizes and not beaten up.

"I think it's better doing this than going to the supermarket.

"The whole experience adds to Halloween, they are all priced up nicely and it's a bit of fun, plus it's free to enter and keeps the children entertained."

The farm is also home to various animals, including donkeys, sheep, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, alpacas and pigs, all of which visitors could see.

Kim Wilkes said: "My daughter wanted to come here and we have come down every year for the past three or four years.

"It's really really good like always, it has a really good atmosphere and they put on a lot of good events throughout the year.

Her daughter Iona said: "They could have had more bigger pumpkins.

"We've got the biggest one we could find and I've enjoyed everything so far although the bungee jumping could have been better."
