FIREFIGHTERS have deployed a boat amid flooding in the city centre - here's why.
The crew was spotted at around 5.20pm yesterday (October 18) evening in Slingpool walk heading towards the River Severn.
Four horses were trapped in a field and with flood water rising the firefighters were called to assist in moving them to higher ground.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were called to Bromwich Road a 4.13pm on October 18 to help four horses that were stuck in a field.
"One boat crew from Worcester was sent to the incident.
"Firefighters made contact with the stables, gained access and moved the horses to dry land."
