A BUSY city road is one of many to be closed in Worcester in the coming weeks. 

Worcestershire County Council has revealed Brickfields Road is to be closed by Network Rail next Friday, October 25.

This is one of nine roads across Worcester that are set to close over the next two weeks, however there may be several emergency closures due to concerns over flooding over the weekend. 

Several ongoing road closures will remain in place over the next 14 days as well as many new closures drivers will need to be aware of.


Ongoing closures

The closure of Old Road, which has been in place since February, is set to remain in place until July 29, 2025 for road improvement works. 

Williamson Road will be closed by Worcestershire County Council for roadworks until 5am on October 20. 

Worcestershire County Council will be closing Troutbeck Drive for roadworks until 4.35pm on October 21.

Reservoir Lane will remain shut until 8pm on December 20 due to roadworks by Worcestershire County Council.

Work on Flag Meadow Walk and Shrubbery Road will be carried out by Cadent as they replace a gas main, meaning it will remain closed until November 15. 

Upcoming road closures 

St George's Lane North is set to be closed for roadworks by Worcestershire County Council between 9.30am and 2.30pm on Tuesday, October 22.

Tunnel Hill will close on October 21 at 7am for roadworks and won't re-open until 4.35pm on October 25.

And Network Rail will close Brickfields Road between 10pm on October 25 and 10pm on November 3.
