An accountancy firm and recruitment company have joined forces to raise more than £3,000 for a childhood cancer charity.

Ballards LLP and Four Squared Recruitment, both based in Worcester, have thrown support behind the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.

Their efforts included hosting a range of challenging and creative events.

The most recent was a charity quiz night held at Bennetts Willow Barn.

Earlier in the year, a group of employees from both companies completed the Three Peaks Challenge.

One staff member even took part in a charity skydive.

Ben Allman, partner at the accountancy firm, said: "At Ballards LLP, we believe in making a positive impact in our community.

"Our partnership with Four Squared in support of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust has allowed us to do just that.

"I'm incredibly proud of our team's commitment – whether it was scaling mountains or hosting events like our recent quiz night.

"Raising over £3,000 is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together for a worthy cause.

"We're not stopping here; we're excited to continue our fundraising efforts throughout the year."

Emma Richardson, managing director at the recruitment company, said: "We're thrilled to have raised over £3,000 so far for the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.

"The enthusiasm and dedication shown by our team and our partners have been truly inspiring.

"From conquering the Three Peaks to jumping out of planes, our employees have gone above and beyond to support this crucial cause.

"The recent quiz night was a fantastic way to bring our community together and continue this important fundraising effort."

The charity was founded in memory of Grace Elizabeth Kelly, who passed away after a battle with cancer in 2014.

Grace's wish to help others has inspired and shaped the work that the trust carries out today.

Research into rare childhood cancers is funded by the charity, as is works towards earlier diagnosis of children with cancer, and support to families at all stages of their journey.

The two companies plan to continue their fundraising efforts throughout the year, with more events planned.
