A space rock band is set to visit Worcester on its UK tour.

Hawklords, formed from the remnants of The Sonic Assassins by Robert Calvert and Dave Brock of Hawkwind, will be touring the UK this year.

The tour will promote their 11th studio album, Relativity, which explores themes of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and humanity's relationship with these concepts.

Guitarist Jerry Richards said: "It’s about perspectives, really.

"Perception depends upon where you’re standing when you witness what it is that you see, hear, or feel.

"As [Albert] Einstein said, ‘Everything is relative.’

"This new album explores observations of our shared reality: That which was, that which is and that which is yet to be."

The band, which has toured the UK and Europe extensively since rebooting in 2008, consists of Richards on guitar and vocals, Dave Pearce on drums, and Mr Dibs on bass and vocals.

Richards is a veteran of the UK free festival scene of the 1980s and was lead guitarist, writer, and producer with Hawkwind from 1995 to 2000.

The band will perform at The Marrs Bar on Friday, November 8 at 8pm, with tickets priced at £19 in advance.
