A CITY foodbank received a royal visitor as it shed light on the challenges faced by its users.
His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Richard, The Duke of Gloucester visited Worcester Foodbank in Lowesmoor, Worcester and was given a tour to find out more about the charity's work.
Worcester Foodbank's operations coordinator, Emma Green, said: "His Royal Highness was very keen to learn more about what we give out in the parcels, how we get food to clients and our plans to expand the warehouse so we can keep pace with growing demand.
"We also shared with him some of the good news and sad stories that we come across."
HRH The Duke of Gloucester was joined by the Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire and foodbank volunteer Beatrice Grant during the visit.
After the tour, volunteers presented HRH The Duke of Gloucester with a cookbook offering recipes to make the most of food parcels.
