AN Audi driver has been banned from the road for three years after he was found over the drug limit on New Year's Eve.
Daniel Arkell, age 28, was caught on the Worcester Road in Droitwich while the levels of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a cannabinoid found in cannabis, exceeded the limit.
He was found to have 9.8micrograms (µg) in a litre of his blood on Sunday, December 31. The limit is 2µg per litre of blood
Arkell, of Amroth Close, Rednal, Birmingham, was sentenced at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 10.
He pleaded guilty in July.
He was disqualified from driving for 36 Months and must pay a fine of £120.
Magistrates took his guilty plea taken into account.
Arkell must pay costs to Crown Prosecution Service of £85 and a surcharge of £48.
He will pay it in instalments of £5 weekly taken from his benefits.
