A Volkswagen Golf driver was caught behind the wheel while twice drink drive limit on the M5 motorway near Worcester.
Conner Docherty, age 29, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level was above the limit.
Docherty was caught in a black Volkswagen Golf on the M5 northbound between Junction 4A and Junction 4 on Saturday, August 3.
He was found to have 90 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath exceeding the prescribed limit.
The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
Docherty, of Stackgarth, Brighouse, West Yorkshire, has been banned from driving for 23 months which will be reduced by 23 weeks if he completes a court.
He was also fined £403 at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 10.
He must also pay costs to Crown Prosecution Service of £85 and a surcharge of £161.00.
The money must be paid in full by Monday, November 4.
