A SERIAL shoplifter who stole groceries from supermarkets has been given a community order.
Charlotte Naylor, of Ennerdale Close, Worcester, pleaded guilty to eight counts of theft from shop at Worcester Magistrates Court.
The 34-year-old stole £200 of household items on Monday, June 24 this year from a Tesco in Worcester and on a second occasion took two bottles of spirits costing £60 from Tesco on Thursday, July 4.
A leg of lamb, a lamb shoulder and a roast joint, costing £74, were stolen from Marks and Spencer's, Blackpole Retail Park, on Tuesday, June 11.
On four occasions Naylor stole yoghurts worth £10 from Co-op in Ambleside Drive on Friday, June 28, Sunday, June 30, Monday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 16.
Naylor took a variety of items from Tesco Express in Brindley Road on Sunday, June 9 but the value was unknown.
A ninth charge of stealing meats, coffees, eggs, and vegetables, to the value of between £40 and £50, belonging to Tesco Express, Brindley Road, was withdrawn.
She must pay compensation to the value of what was taken to the stores she has stolen from as well as costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85.
Magistrates also gave Naylor a community order to complete up to 15 days of a rehabilitation activity when she appeared at court on Tuesday, October 8.
