A LARGE police presence has responded to an incident outside Worcester's Foregate Street Train Station, here's why.
The emergency vehicles were spotted outside the train station in the city centre at around 3pm this afternoon (October 9) following a concern for welfare report.
Following the incident, a woman was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Video from the scene shows an ambulance, an unmarked police car, two marked police cars and a police van.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to Foregate Street in Worcester at around 2.45pm this afternoon (Wednesday October 9), following a concern for welfare report.
"A 33-year-old woman has been taken to hospital."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of concern for a patient’s welfare on Foregate Street at 2.39pm, one ambulance attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was treated and taken to Worcester Royal Hospital."
