MORE pictures have been released showing work underway to repair a bridge in Worcester.
Ballast bags are being lifted into place to create the platform at Powick Old Bridge so repairs to the bridge, famous as the site of the first battle of the English Civil War, can begin.
Around 100 ballast bags (bags filled with stones) have been placed around the bridge to create a dry area to allow for repairs.
A Worcestershire County Council spokesperson said: "Bags of stone (ballast) are now being carefully placed into the riverbed at Powick Old Bridge to create a dry working area.
"This step helps protect the collapsed wingwall and allows for further inspection as we move forward with long-term repair."
