POLICE have paid tribute to a brave police dog whose "loyalty was unmatched".
West Mercia Police revealed with great sadness the death of police dog Juno, who was "laid to rest" yesterday (Monday) after a short and sudden illness.
It said its thoughts are with Juno’s handler and family during this difficult time.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "With great sadness, we announce the passing of Police Dog Juno.
"Juno’s dedication, bravery, and loyalty were unmatched.
"His presence will be deeply missed by his handler, colleagues, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
"Thank you for your service Juno – you will forever be in our hearts."
