Severn Trent has announced the winners of its summer photography competition.

The contest encouraged the public to capture moments at its visitor sites and other green spaces, promoting the natural beauty and recreational opportunities around.

The competition aimed to highlight the appeal of parks, nature reserves, and community green spaces, as part of the water company's "Days Out" campaign.

The initiative provided customers with low-cost, day-out options to connect with nature and take pictures.

To enter, participants were required to photograph themselves enjoying the outdoors and post it using the hashtag #STYourLocalTreasure.

The winners, who each received a £100 Virgin Experience Days voucher, included Hannah Fisher and Elaine Muir, who captured their visit to Attingham Park, and Ahmed Tafat, who photographed his time at the National Forest Adventure Farm.

Donna Marshall, visitor engagement manager at Severn Trent, said: "We want to thank everyone who has paid a visit to our sites over the summer and enjoyed everything that we have to offer.

"Massive congratulations to everyone who won the competition, there were some fantastic photos of you out and about this summer and they were so great to see."

The company also provided "Backyard Explorer" activity sheets for those unable to venture outdoors, offering a fun way to learn about nature from home.

Although the competition has ended, people are encouraged to continue visiting the sites as we transition into autumn.

Ms Marshall added: "We might be moving into autumn, but that doesn’t mean that our sites aren’t open, they are just as lovely at that time as the temperatures cool and are perfect for a walk to get some fresh air.

"There are also lots of activities that we are planning in the coming months to keep everyone entertained, including a few Halloween events so keep your eyes peeled for more details and we look forward to seeing you there."
