An ocean-themed film festival is set to make a splash for an evening in Malvern.

The Forum Theatre will host the Ocean Film Festival World Tour on Thursday, October 24.

The festival is a celebration of the planet's oceans, with seafaring voyages and marine life captured on the big screen.

Jemima Robinson, the festival founder and CEO, said: "The Ocean Film Festival Tour is a platform for storytelling that brings the beauty, challenges and importance of our oceans to audiences around the world.

"This year's line-up is testament to the incredible adventures, talents and environmental messages that resonate with us all.

"We are thrilled to share these inspiring films and celebrate the magic of the ocean."

The UK tour, presented by the Marine Conservation Society and PADI, the world's largest diver organisation, marks the 11th year of the festival in the UK.

The festival was created in Australia to inspire people to enjoy, explore, and protect the oceans.

The short films, introduced by a compère, tell fascinating tales of ocean exploration.

Each screening will also see a free prize giveaway with ocean-related goodies up for grabs.

Highlights of the film line-up include 'Ice Maiden', a tale of perseverance, as adventurer Lisa Blair embarks on a voyage to become the first woman to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around Antarctica.

'The Whale Song' delves into the communication of humpback whales, revealing their ingenious remixing of each other's tunes.

'Tess Felix: Portrait of an Artist' shines a light on the California-based artist, who uses plastic debris to create mosaic portraits as a vibrant response to the state of our oceans.
