THE number of working-age adults in employment in Worcestershire is remaining steady at about 81 percent.
Figures from Worcestershire County Council show the percentage has remained the same since December 2023 - but is up from less than 76 percent in September 2022.
Worcestershire’s figure of 81 percent is about five percentage points above the overall average for England.
Working-age adults are classed as those aged 16 to 64.
UK labour market figures show employment levels across the country increased by around 150,000 last year, while the employment rate remained at a similar level.
