THE moment fire crews extinguished a car fire believed to be arson was caught on camera.

Plumes of smoke could be seen by neighbours living in Dines Green after a car was destroyed in a fire near Gresham Road.

The car was parked on a private drive just off Spenser Road at around 6pm yesterday (Wednesday) evening when emergency services believed a fire had started deliberately.

Neighbours lined the street as two firefighters were seen tackling the blaze, which involved a saloon car.

In the video, filmed by Tommo Gruszeczka, a firefighter can be seen putting on protective gear while another runs over to the vehicle with a hose reel jet.

Large amounts of white smoke can then be seen coming from the vehicle as the firefighter walks around, trying to extinguish the fire.
