A tango ensemble is set to take to the stage in Pershore.

Carismático Tango will bring the passionate flavours of Argentina to Number 8 on Thursday, October 24 at 7.30pm.

The ensemble’s exploration of tango music and dance with a contemporary twist promises to take the audience on a journey through love, heartbreak, hope and joy in the space of one evening.

The performance will bring together the vocals of Guillermo Rozenthuler with the dancing of tango stars Richard Manuel and Tamsyn Webb.

The music is inspired by the tango nuevo compositions of Argentinian masters Astor Piazzolla and Saúl Cosentino with brilliant new compositions by Karen Street.

Expressive Buenos Aires-born vocalist and guitarist Rozenthuler has become one of the leading voices of Argentine tango and South American song in the UK.

Since his arrival in the UK in 2000, he’s been performing as a soloist and with bands across Great Britain in a variety of tango and Latin American music ensembles.

Manuel has taught, choreographed and performed tango for 24 years in 12 countries and more than 140 cities around the world.

Webb has been dancing from a young age, transitioning through different styles to settle on Argentine tango in 2015.

Since 2019, Tamsyn has been teaching, choreographing and performing Argentine tango with Manuel in shows across the UK.

With Andy Tweed on saxophone and clarinet, Yshani Perinpanayagam on piano, Dave Mannington on bass, and talented composer and musician Karen Street on accordion, the ensemble is known for their arrangements of traditional and nuevo Argentine tango music (Piazzolla, Saúl Cosentino), and original compositions merging tango, jazz and classical styles.

Tickets priced at £22 are on sale now.
