A SCHEME to subdivide a factory into four separate units has been rejected by the council.
The owners of the factory, on the Weir Lane trading estate in Worcester, wanted to split the existing building into four and add a mezzanine level.
But planning officers had concerns over whether pedestrians and cyclists would be able to safely access the premises.
City planners also said only 17 parking spaces had been proposed, compared to the 33 required by planning policy.
“The proposals would result in unacceptable design leading to a poor visual environment where there is pedestrian/cycle and vehicle conflicts,” they said.
